The Afghan Women’s Support Center, a program at the SALAM Islamic Center, in Sacramento, CA offers weekly topic-specific workshops for Afghan women every Saturday, 10 am – 12 pm PDT. This FREE initiative is a 12-week program that supports Afghan women and families who have arrived in the US within the past two years. The workshops provide essential guidance and support as Afghan women navigate and adapt to their new environment, with topics in various fields, including government aid, regional resources, and adapting to the new environment.
